Step 2

In the first 3 boxes input your desired username (this can be your email address or a unique username) and confirm a secure password

Step 3

In the boxes underneath the heading ‘Company’ enter your email address and company details. REMEMBER: your company profile will be viewable to other contractors and the more info you display, the more chance of finding the best opportunities.

Be sure to add in your qualifications so other users know what you are qualified to do, and add in images of your previous work!

Step 4

Under the heading ‘Location’ choose your county and town. Once you have filled all the boxes, click that you have read the terms and conditions and click ‘Register’.

Step 5

You will be redirected to a membership page, this is where you will purchase your Trades for Trades membership. Enter your card details and purchase your membership and then you’re ready to view, apply and post jobs.

Login to your hub here, remember you need to have a Trades for Trades membership to use this feature. Get a membership here.

Step 2

Under ‘Manage’, click on Post a Job

Step 3

• Enter the job title (this will be displayed on the job search board)
• Choose your contract type – You have 4 drop down options
• Pick the relevant trade your contract is in
• Choose what payment structure you want to use, per day, per hour or per total contract
• Add a start date – If it is flexible just pick the closest date to the best of your knowledge
• Add what qualifications this role will require
• Add a description of the role, this will help people finding your job to understand exactly what needs to be done and whether they’re suitable

Step 4

Under the heading ‘Company details’ add your company details to the job listing, many of these fields should be auto-populated from your company profile

Set the location of your job under the heading ‘Location’. REMEMBER: This is the location of the role, not the location of your company

Step 6

Choose whether you want to post the job for FREE or whether you would like to add a premium listing at a cost of £10. FREE posts last 14 days while FEATURED POSTS last for 30 days, plus they feature more prominently on all job searches.

Step 7

Click ‘Preview’ and view your listing in preview mode. If you are happy with your listing click ‘Publish’, however if you would like to change something you can always click ‘edit listing’ to go back.

Search through the jobs with the job board filters, you can categorise your search by location, type of contract, keyword and trade.

Step 3

Click on the jobs that look interesting to you and it will open up a new page where you can view more details about the employer and the role

Step 4

When you are ready to apply scroll to the bottom of the job listing and click ‘Apply’. A box will appear for you to add your details in including your phone number and a short message for the person advertising the contract. Be sure to tick the box that confirms you have the qualifications to do the job properly and safely.

Step 5

That is it! Your application will be sent. You should receive an email confirming this too.

There are two ways to see your applications.

You should receive an email everytime your job is applied for with all the information you need on that application. If you would like to discover about how to manage your applications in your hub, read on:

Under the ‘Manage’ heading click on ‘Applications’. The button should have a red number of the amount of applications you have received.

Step 3

In your applications page you can filter through your applications by job posting, or view all the applications at once.

Step 4

Each of your applications have the company name of who is applying for it and you have 4 options per application. These are:

1. View – click here to read the full application
2. Print – click here to print the application
3. Delete – You have no interest in pursuing this applicant? No problem, delete it
4. Status – You can change the status of the application

Step 5

Clicking inside the application you will see all the details of the applicant along with their contact information and their message to you. You will also see a button to view their company profile which should contain their full list of qualifications and pictures of their work.

Step 6

Found the perfect applicant? Then use their contact details and give them a call. Trades for Trades doesn’t try and limit your communication to our platform only, it’s not practical for busy trades people. Enjoy!

Trades for Trades doesn’t have an app (yet…) but there is an easy way of getting our platform as a quick link from your mobile phone. Read below:

At the bottom of the screen you will see a share icon with an arrow coming out of a square, click that.

Click ‘Add to Home Screen’ and then press ‘Add’.
